Q: Do you price match?
A: We will absolutely price match another photo booth company with a booth of similar quality and availability on your date.
There are a lot of differences in people’s opinions of what a photo booth is. A photo booth is a machine that takes photos and prints them, but what else factors into the price? Materials and quality of photos vary from company to company. Ask to see photos of the booth, samples of the prints, reviews, what the logo design includes, cost for additional options, quality of the photo book, etc. Do they charge for idle time? Travel? Are they using professional equipment? What size are the photo strips? Will it hold up when your intoxicated friend face plants the photo booth? (No joke, we have seen it happen).
Our photo booths have a vintage feel and are made out of metal, with hard walls and a curtain, while others are essentially pop up tents with a box in the back of them. We use professional equipment. All photo strips are high resolution, waterproof, and the same size as classic film photo booths.
Our logo design is the best. We don’t throw your names on the strips with the same font as everyone else. We incorporate details from your invitations, color scheme, or come up with something new. Our books have archival paper with cloth-hinged pages to ensure it lasts for years.
Remember, you get what you pay for. If something sounds too good to be true, it probably is. In most cases, the difference in pricing isn’t much, but for the extra amount you can be sure we will rock your socks off. If you don’t believe us, read our Raves page. Q: How does it work?
A: Just get in, press the button, and smile! The booth will take the photos about 5 seconds apart. Each photo is displayed on the monitor inside the booth after it’s taken. Seconds later, the pictures are printed and available outside of the booth.
Q: What’s included in the rental package?
A: You will receive unlimited photos throughout your event and can choose between 2x8 strips or 4x6 prints in black and white or color. An attendant will be on site during the event to make sure everything runs smoothly. We handle delivery, set-up, keeping the coffee table book neat, and removal of the booth. Each package also includes a custom logo on the strip and a high resolution CD of all photos. Please see the Packages page for more information and options.
Q: Can you explain the coffee table book option?
A: The book is awesome! wink! coffee table books are customized for your event and complement your colors, logo, or theme. The book allows your guests to include their photo with a handwritten note to you. The best guestbook (ever!) is available for you to take home that evening. See what your guests were up to and read their messages for years to come. Our albums feature double-thick archival board wrapped in premium, European-milled book cloth, with cloth hinged pages to be sure your book lasts a lifetime.
Q: Do we have to wait for the photo strips to print before taking more photos?
A: No, you just keep jumping back in and press the button - the booth will keep up with you!
Q: When do you set up, and is that part of the hourly fee?
A: We coordinate the set up time with each location based on their schedule. Only the hours of the actual event count for the rental fee. We do not charge for idle time between set-up and break down of the booth, or closure during dinner.
Q: Can we decorate the booth?
A: We can create custom signs and panels for the booth or provide the measurements if you are working with a graphic designer. We also do large scale photo booth strips to display (with photo booth photos, or photos you provide).
Q: How many people can fit in the booth?
A: 2 to 4 people can fit comfortably with plenty of room to spare. You can fit even more if you really like each other (we’ve seen as many as 12)!
Q: How far will you travel for an event?
A: At this time, we are able to service State College, Altoona, Harrisburg, PA and the surrounding area. Events over 80 miles round trip from State College may incur a small travel fee. We’ll go pretty far. We love Philly!
Q: How do I reserve a date?
A: We require a deposit of $250 in order to secure your date, which is put toward your final balance (around 25% of the rental fee). The remaining balance is due at least 14 days prior to your event. Contact us for our rental agreement and availability.
Q: Can I have a message on the photo?
A: You can have any message you’d like on the photo, as well as customized logos which are included with each package.
Q: What payment methods do you accept?
A: We accept checks made out to wink! photo booths, money orders, and credit cards.
