Melissa was wonderful, especially on a wedding day that will most likely be the craziest ever weather-wise! In addition to providing referrals to local vendors and assisting with various details throughout, Melissa braved the SNOW in OCTOBER to provide "day-of" services at our wedding. From rearranging arrival times for vendors to standing in the snow holding an umbrella while coats and boots were thrown in her arms, Melissa made the day run as smoothly as was possible in the unexpected weather. I certainly could not have pulled the day off without her and would recommend her over and over!

In the short time that we knew each other, Melissa did a great job anticipating our needs and was an excellent facilitator for our daughter's wedding and reception. She calmly arranged the time tables that we all needed to get through the day. SHe displayed kindness, patience and most importantly, the ability to communicate with so many different personalities. Melissa tied everything together so perfectly! It made that "special day" a great success!

We got engaged in August 2010 and wanted to plan a summer wedding. We started looking for a wedding planner late August/early September. I e-mailed a few people, and Melissa was the first one to get back to me. We were married in July 2011 and worked extensively with Melissa and her assistant Katie. At our first meeting I was unsure if a wedding planner was really necessary. We live in Maryland and were having our wedding near my family in Lancaster County. After we spoke with Melissa and Katie it was clear we needed a wedding planner. We didn’t quite realize everything that went into planning a wedding, and were confident that they were the people to help us. Melissa helped us find a venue and all of our vendors. She also negotiated between us and the vendors and negotiated our contracts. Trust me- you need Melissa. The last thing you want to do is negotiate contracts before your big day. Since we live out of state Melissa also gave us a few suggestions for vendors and coordinated meetings. We wanted vendors who loved their job and were good at it, and Melissa found us those people. We never would have found those quality vendors if we hadn’t been working with Melissa. She also helped us find vendors that were better and cheaper than the most expensive vendors. She knew exactly where to go from flowers to cake to buying a dress to getting the dress altered! Melissa and Katie made the lead up to the wedding and the wedding day run smoothly. Her and Katie answered e-mails quickly and they received many e-mails from me regarding anxieties about the big day and our plans. They made sure our wedding day was stress free. We had such a great time that we are ready to do it all over again next year. I would recommend working with Melissa for a small wedding to a big wedding to an upcoming event. She knows the right people, and is good at what she does.

Being a wedding planner myself, I know the importance of having a wedding planner for day of services. Because I'm in the industry, I decided to create my old hollywood theme and plan all of the details of our wedding. However, I knew that on the day of the wedding I did not want to be the one running "the show." (no pun intended). I wanted to be a guest at my own wedding and know that all of the little details I had put into place were in the hands of a trusted professional. Melissa and her assistant Katie did a fabulous job of ensuring that our 275 person wedding(which had quite a few different elements to keep track of) ran as smooth as possible. We are so happy that Melissa and Katie were able to play a part in our special day and would recommend Stylish Occasions by Melissa MiVille to anyone. Great job!!!

It was truly a pleasure to have Melissa as the wedding planner for our daughter's wedding. In the preparation she was instumental in helping us focus on details and we were impressed with the suggestions she came up with to solve any questions or problems that came up. I especially appreciated her help working with vendors in getting last minute details worked out. We received many compliments from vendors of how nice and professional they thought Melissa was to work with. I don't know how we would have made it through the rehearsal and the actual wedding day without Melissa. At the rehearsal, from organizing the bridal party procession to knowing where everything was to be set for the ceremony, it was a relief to leave everything in her capable hands. Througout the wedding day all the long and endless list of details we had planned she took care of perfectly. And as I told her I am well aware that I didn't even know half of what she did! I just know I was able to completly enjoy the day because I knew Melissa was behind the scenes taking care of everything! Because of Melissa's help and guidance our daughter truly had the wedding of her dreams! Thanks again Melissa!

Melissa was without a double, an invaluable part of our wedding. The weeks before the wedding she helped us focus on details and answered any questions that we had. Days before the wedding she contacted our vendors making sure last minute details were finalized and everyone was ready to go. The dress rehearsal and wedding day Melissa was unbelievable. Whatever we asked her to do, we knew it would be done efficiently and effectively and did not have to think twice about it. I know my mom and I could enjoy the day that much more because we knew Melissa was taking care of everything for us. I am sure there is so much she did that day that we don’t even know about it, but what I do know is Melissa helped make my dream wedding come true!!!

Best money spent!!! She was a great help and calmed my nerves many a time!! Loved her!!!

Melissa was a great help on my wedding day, I really can say the day would not have been such a success without her. She went above and beyond what she was hired to do for the day of services; everything from helping me and my bridesmaid set up chairs the morning of to keeping us running on time for the reception. Melissa even had a wedding first aid kit which had about anything we would need for an emergency during the day and it came in handy more than once. Melissa and Stylish Occasions was a great choice for my planning services and if you think you don't need a wedding planner think again you don't even realize how much they do on that very special day to make your life easier! I would use Stylish Occasions again in a heartbeat.

Melissa was a God send for our wedding. She was especially helpful to have around on the day of the wedding so my mom and I didn't have to worry about all of the little details. I am so glad we hired Melissa as our day-of coordinator! I couldn't have done it without her! Even tho we hired her to be there for the day of our wedding...she was still always there for me with answers to my questions during the planning process! I would highly recommend her!
