I can honestly say that I could not have asked for a better wedding ceremony/reception venue. I had the pleasure of working with Maureen who made sure our day went smoothly. She clearly has had a lot of experience and knows how to run a wedding. My guests were thrilled to have a ceremony that actually started on time! And they raved about the food and the breathtaking reception area and grounds of Riverdale. We got married within the holiday season and they decorated the grounds beautifully, which made for some awesome pictures. I reccomend using vendors off of her list. They know Maureen and the facility well and I did not have to worry about the small things such as vendors arriving on time or knowing where to go or how to set up. Also, since I used her vendors I did not have to worry about returning cake stand or vases the following day, which for a tired bride is a big plus! Anyone considering Riverdale Manor should definitly do it!

My wife and I had our wedding about a week and a half ago and I seriously could not have envisioned things going any better. From the beginning of the process, well over a year ago, Maureen worked with us, guided us, and was very, very easy to work with. She was always very quick to respond to an email (we planned mostly from 2,000 miles away) and scheduling things like the tasting and final meeting was always very easy. First of all, the Riverdale is beautiful! The grounds are so nice, the Pavillion (where we had our ceremony) was intimate and beuatiful, the ballroom is perfect (the vaulted ceiling was a HUGE improvement over the typical drop ceiling), and the farmhouse (where we got ready and had our cocktail hour) was terrific. Secondly, the food was wonderful. My wife and I were reluctant to book our wedding at a place that had a mandatory caterer because I am a vegetarian, my wife is vegan, and we wanted no meat at our reception. When we saw that Thyme and Seasons (the caterer that accompanies the Riverdale) had a definition section pertaining to what they consider to be vegetarian, vegan, etc. we were very relieved. This showed that they actually cared about being clear on what is and isn't veggie/vegan and that they knew what they were talking about. This is obviously not as important to everyone but it was very important to us. Further, the food was amazing! We got great reviews from vegans to super meat lovers so it went over really well! Plus, Maureen was very knowledgeable and accommodating when it came to our menu requests. The whole experience pertaining to the food could not have gone better! Anyway, I could go on and on but it's only because we had such a great experience. I had prepared myself for the inevitable little hiccups that tend to occur at an event like a wedding but everything went super smoothly. We had a great experience from start to finish, the staff of the Riverdale from Maureen down the line were terrific, and our wedding was as great as I could have hoped. Thanks to everyone at the Riverdale for helping us create the best wedding we could have hoped for!

We loved having our wedding at Riverdale - we came out of the day so impressed with how everything turned out. Our coordinator, Troy, had great attention to detail and was always quick to assist with his advice and/or responses to our questions. We were able to trust that everything was in good hands. In fact, the entire staff did a great job - they made everything easy for us! What we especially loved about Riverdale is the atmosphere. Pretty outdoor areas, a stunning ballroom filled with natural light, and the cozy pavilion complete with strings of lights are the highlights. Our guests were so impressed with the venue. (Bonus: being able to provide our own alcohol - we just had beer & wine - was nice for the wallet!)

The staff at Riverdale Manor certainly know how to help you create your dream wedding. I worked specifically with Monica and Troy, and they made sure we had all of our questions answered every step of the way. Riverdale is nestled beside the Conestoga River in an easy to find, yet off the beaten path, spot of Lancaster. The grounds are beautifully maintained. The ballroom and patio area are the perfect spot to host a wonderful party. If you're planning on having your ceremony at Riverdale Manor as well, their pavillon serves as an excellent "plan b" to an outside ceremony. I can not say enough positive things about this place. Book early!

We loved Riverdale Manor and we are so glad we picked them. Besides the grounds being beautiful, everyone we interacted with was great and very professional. Troy was always very helpful and always responded quickly to my emails. We ended up having our ceremony in the pavilion due to recent rain but I think our "plan B" was just as good as any "plan A." We have gotten so many compliments on how nice everything was, the venue, food, etc.

If you are looking for something out of the ordinary - not your typical hotel ballroom or country club, then Riverdale Manor is worth looking in to. They have a big ballroom, lots of flag stone patio area around it and a large open gazebo for dancing. We had an evening wedding - from 4:30 to 9:30 and it was wonderful. After dinner in the ballroom, we had the dancing and bar set up in the gazebo. We danced for hours under the twinkle lights and the candlebras. People could walk around, sit outside the gazebo and watch the dancing or sit in the ballroom if they were cold (the wedding was in Sept). The site was just gorgeous despite the recent flooding the area had seen. This place is unique and will be a memorable part of your wedding.

We worked with Monica 99% of the time and we absolutely felt like we were in great hands! She always answered my questions in a very timely fashion (and I had a lot of questions). Beyond how helpful the staff was, our guests said the food was great, and the little bit I did have was delicious. We truly loved everything about the venue and our decorations looked amazing in there. It was really awesome to be able to drop off all my decorations the day before and they were assembled by the staff on the day off. Pick Riverdale if you want a venue that helps you along the way tremendously and is experienced enough to make sure you're getting the wedding you hoped for.

My husband and I, family and friends all loved this venue! Monica and Maureen were very helpful and we had a great wedding and reception. It is definitely a diamond in the rough location due to the entrance but I had an artistic family member help spruce up the entrance with a sign so no guests got lost! They were also very flexible with the food. I had two members within my group that have diabetes and celiacs disease, calling for special diets. We were able to have their needs met while still providing delicious food!

I fell in love with Riverdale from the time I saw it online and then again when I saw it in person! We signed the contract the weekend that we looked at it. It was a year and a half before our wedding date. The wonderful thing about Riverdale is it is a reception/ceremony site and planner all in one. Maureen has a lot of knowledge and has the guidelines she has for a reason. She helped us through everything and was great to work with!! We didnt have to worrry about anything the day of. We dropped everything off the day before and they set everything up. They made my candy buffet look professional and even better then i had imagined it. The food was great and the staff was great! They certainly realize it is your day and cater to you!

Riverdale offered a unique experience for our special day. The grounds were well kept and offered stellar photo opportunities. All the staff were friendly and willing to accomodate all of our requests! Monica did a fabulous job and our friends and family talked about our wedding and this venue well after our wedding took place. We found Riverdale in an online search and were lucky they had a cancellation in our desired month. From our first meeting, we knew it was the ideal setting for us. We worked with the owner, Maureen. Maureen kept us on track to accomplish everything we needed to do in 5 short months. She and her staff were always professional and pleasant to work with. When we met her it was clear she knows her property and what works there for a fantastic event. I contacted Maureen on numerous occasions to get her thoughts on other wedding vendors, and we were never disappointed with her recommendations. Her advice was spot-on. On the day of our wedding, a large storm showed up on radar rather unexpectedly. We were supposed to have our ceremony on the lawn, however it needed to be moved to the pavilion at the last minute. They handled this unexpected change quickly and we never had to worry about the details. This was one of the most important things for us. On our wedding day, we didn’t want to have to fuss with planning and coordination details, we just wanted to be able to enjoy our day. Their professionalism and teamwork allowed us to do just that. The grounds and buildings were absolutely gorgeous and provided the perfect atmosphere. Our guests were able to join the party or take a quiet walk down by the river. The food was delicious. We had some people comment that it was the best wedding they had attended. If we had it to do all over again we wouldn’t change a thing!

We had an AMAZING wedding for my daughter at Riverdale Manor! It was beyond our expectations. Riverdale was the perfect setting and the staff was so helpful and friendly. We heard over and over again from our guests how beautiful Riverdale was. It was stunning! Many even said that this was the best wedding they had ever been to! Maureen, our wedding coordinator and the owner of Riverdale, did a wonderful job of taking care of the details and helped me to relax and really enjoy the whole process. She was so willing to listen to us and find a way to make my daughter's dreams happen! I would definitely recommend Riverdale Manor!

I had my wedding ceremony and reception at Riverdale Manor recently and I can't say enough about how wonderful everything was. I too have read some negative comments but I only experienced good things. Maureen was my coordinator and she always got back with me within a day. We corresponded mainly through email. I am not a control freak so I really liked that she and her staff handled everything. I felt that's a part of what I was paying them for. I took all my decorations, favors, etc and gave them to her and the staff took care of where everything was to go. I didn't have to worry about any of the deliveries (florist, cake, etc). They all dealt with Maureen and I liked that I didn't have to worry about any of that. They boxed everything up afterwards including the leftovers. The food was just as delicious as the day of our tasting. The venue is beautiful and I would recommend it to everyone.

I just loved everything about Riverdale Manor! And a special thank you to Maureen and her staff because they were wonderful!! Everyone loved the venue, the food and just the overall experience at Riverdale. Maureen really saved the day for me in so many ways and I am so thankful for that. And to any future bride out there that may be thinking of finding a "planner" there really is no need. I hired one for our wedding but I found that Maureen was just as knowledgable if not more then the planner and was much more helpful! Maureen knows her stuff! She knows the area and all the vendors and she is happy to help you with anything for your wedding as she truly cares about her business and knows the importance of this day to all brides. I have not a single complaint about the staff/services at Riverdale Manor (and Thyme & Seasons Catering)! From considering the venue in the very beginning right on through the post-reception wrap-up, a staff member was always on hand to answer questions and offer assistance; to guide us throug the whole wedding process. And the venue itself is absolutely stunning! We were married in the outdoor pavillion on a gorgeous fall day and our guests could not stop commenting on not only the natural scenery, but the beauty of the ballroom and the pavillion as well. In the short time since our wedding has passed, I have already recommended Riverdale Manor to a number of people and will continue to do so in the future. The staff at Riverdale went above and beyond our expectations and truly, we could not have asked for a better day.

Having our wedding at Riverdale Manor was the best choice we ever made. The owner, Maureen, can recommend the best vendors in the area and is spot on every time. The grounds and facilities at Riverdale Manor are extremely well kept and naturally beautiful at all times of the year. We got married in August, but made visits at all times of the year -- always gorgeous! Everyone raved about the food and the service!!! Our guests told us it was the prettiest and most charming wedding they'd ever been to. They couldn't get over the attentiveness of the staff and the venue itself. Their helpful consultants make sure your wedding day is everything you imagine it to be and will work with your vendors to ensure everything goes as smoothly as possible. The organization made my life so much easier! But most importantly, the venue is _gorgeous_ and the food is amazing! You will not be disappointed, and neither will your guests. When I look back at my pictures years from now I will be so happy that I chose Riverdale Manor, it really was beautiful!

For an outside wedding, you can't go wrong with this location. We booked Riverdale a year and a half ago for my daughter's wedding on 7/3/10. Each time we met at the location I loved it more. It is a perfect setup, from the farmhouse for getting ready, to the reception hall, the outside terraces and of course the new pavillion (which I love). We were lucky and had great weather, so we used every part of the site for a well planned wedding and reception. Working with Maureen (the owner) was fantastic. I was impressed how everything went smoothly on the day of the wedding. Mareen is a wedding coorinator, so don't hire one. I was so thankful for her help the day my daughter had the best time of her life. Thanks Riverdale, I would recommend you to anyone.

Our wedding at Riverdale was perfect! We couldn't have asked for a better location and the staff. The grounds are beautiful, the food was wonderful and the people were great. The staff was there every second we needed them to help in a pinch. They were friendly and helpful. The new pavilion was great location for dancing during our event and the ballroom was a beautiful set up for dinner. We loved everything about the location and couldn't have asked for anything better.
