Posh Bridal Salon

My visit to POSH was my first and only appointment to try on wedding gowns, the whole appointment was such a positive experience that I didn't feel the need to go anywhere else! I had a few ideas of what I was looking for and Janell was able to find a gown that fit my body and personality perfectly! I had wanted a vintage feel to my dress and also wanted a sleeve (my wedding is in november, chilly!) I also hoped to use the lace from my mother & grandmother's gown and Janell was more than willing to help make all of those things possible! She sketched up my gown at my second appointment and I couldn't be happier, I love my gown and am so excited for it to be finished!

My experience here was wonderful. After searching all over the Philadelphia area for a wedding dress I stumbled on to Janell's salon and am so thankful that I did! It was an experience like no other. Janell understood exactly what I was looking for in a dress and worked with me to design a dress that is just perfect. I was able to pick my own fabrics and lace! I feel confident that the end product will be exactly what I have been hoping for. Janell is warm, personable and extremely talented. I am excited to working with her!

I had been shopping in Chicago for a wedding dress while visiting with my sister. I found a dress that was 2800- that I loved but I wasn't convinced I wanted to spend that much on my wedding gown. I came home kind of dejected and frustrated- I googled bridal shops in Lancaster and POSH came up first on my list. I called to see if I could come in for an appointment. I explained to the woman on the phone what I wanted in a dress and my price point. She replied, my gowns typically start at 2500. She paused and said, I have some dresses that I designed that never made it into production, you are welcomed to come and take a look.I will sell them for cost. I arrived 45 minutes later to the most adorable little bridal salon in downtown Lancaster. I was greeted by "Janelle" and her dog (who roams the store) and taken to the dressing room. The first gown I put on brought me to tears- it was so unbelievably beautiful! I fell in love! Janell made me try on a few more gowns. I didn't realize at the time that "Janelle" was the designer and owner of POSH. I kept asking,"now, who designed this dress?" after every gown I tried on. She politely replied, "Janelle Berte" After about 10 minutes I gasped, "You are Janelle Berte!" Hear I am standing next to the woman who designed this dress, in the exact building where my dress was made. I felt like the luckiest bride in the world! She is the most down to earth woman, so incredibly talented. The dress I wore on my wedding day was a "one of a kind" dress designed by Janelle, made at POSH salon. I feel so fortunate to have found her! I HIGHLY recommend any bride to stop in at her salon- if only just to meet this extratrodinary woman!!!

Janell represents the ultimate in professionalism, elegance and expertise- everything you're looking for in the whirlwind of options when selecting a gown. After visiting a number of salons and experiencing a painful array of inexperienced, rude or condescending sales representatives, dresses that did not suit my style or shape, staggering tailoring options- I discovered Janell's salon, which was a breath of fresh air. Janell goes above and beyond couture; Her sincerity, ingenuity and integrity make you confident that your dress is going to be exactly how you envisioned it, arrive on time and feel on trend/high fashion, but fit your personality. My dress was not only a perfect fit, it is truly an heirloom and custom piece that I couldn't have been more pleased with. I highly suggest you forego any of the manufactured retailer (David's, Priscilla, etc.) and meet Janell. Once you experience her passion, enthusiasm and quality of service, you won't want to go anywhere else! My Dress was so beautiful!!! I love that no one else will ever have a dress like mine! The experience of working with a designer was a treasure and I love having the memory. I felt so beautiful in my dress and loved the personal attention I received from Janell and her staff.

I loved my experience with Janell. She runs an excellent business and the customer service was exceptional. It was so much fun to help create a gown that was custom. I still can't get over that I actually was emailing with my wedding dress designer. She was extremely flexible to schedule appointments since I lived in Tampa and also made my flower girl's dress (and lived out of town, too). Janell was also very patient and worked hard to get my dress just right. I couldn't have asked for a better experience and I would have never expected to find that level of service and quality in Lancaster (and I grew up there). I would highly recommend Janell Berte and Lancaster Bridal.
