It was truly a pleasure working with Matthew. He paid attention to our music requests (play and do-not-play lists) and kept the volume down during dinner, which was very important to us. He kept the music flowing throughout the entire evening, made all the necessary announcements and helped to make our reception lots of fun, while keeping it classy. I would highly recommend using Occasions for any party that calls for a DJ.

Michael was professional, on time, and flexible with our music choices. I enjoy country, where my husband enjoys more classic rock. He had a wonderful mix during our cocktail our and dinner service. He played the perfect music during our reception anywhere from current hits to hits that we used to listen to back in high school. He was wonderful and did not try to "take over" our reception. He provided us with a wonderful survey that we filled out before our reception that allowed us to choose the music we liked and did not like. He followed that selection to at "T". Occassions Disc Jockey is a wonderful choice for a great wedding!

Matthew was very attentive to details throughout the night and checked with us throughout the eveing. He was very friendly and professional. We were very impressed with the online form we had to fill out prior to the wedding. We were also impressed at how he dressed and presented himself throughout the entire night. He kept the party going and the dance florr full the entire night!

We had an AMAZING wedding ceremony and reception!! All of the music we asked for was played for both! Matthew worked so well with us and spoke directly with us on any questions or concerns you had. We couldn't have asked for a better DJ for our wedding day!!

We hired Matthew to provide the music for our ceremony and reception. We were very pleased with not only his services but his professionalism and responsiveness. He was very flexible and easy to work with when our outdoor ceremony had to be moved inside due to weather. The forms that we filled out were very comprehensive and he called us a week before the wedding to walk through them and find out if we had any changes. Matthew played all of the songs that we requested and many of our guests requests and everyone had a great night of dancing!

We hired Steve from Occassions, we were extremely happy with all of his services for that day. He provided ceremony music (outside ceremony), cocktail music and reception music. He basically worked from 3:30 to 11:00 and was highly professional the entire time. He called us a week before our wedding to make sure I felt comfortable and to ask some insightful questions - things we hadn't even thought of...He was extremely patient and thorough with answering questions I sent him by email at several points. Through absolutely no fault of Steve's there was a slight electrical problem at the outdoor ceremony site and he was completely flexible and professional in getting the problem fixed ASAP. He never said anything to us about the problem, we only heard from a relative, I think this speaks to his extreme professionalism. I would highly recommend Occasions and in particular, Steve.

We were very pleased with Occasions DJ. Matthew did a great job. He played great music and the dance floor was packed the entire night. Matthew was very professional and played the music we asked for and other music we liked. He played a good mix of music. The form he had us fill out before the wedding was very helpful to prepare and included great ideas for music to be played. I would recommend Occasions.

We hired Occasions after hearing that they were great from 3 sources (our wedding venue, Cameron Estate Inn; our photographer, Graybill Photography; and our wedding coordinator, Planned Perfection). Steve was our DJ for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception, and really did a great job! They mail you a packet of questions/information ahead of time, so that you can come up with songs you like, songs you don't like, genres you like/don't like, the years you graduated (so they can have an idea of what songs might get people on the dance floor!), line dances you want or do not want, whether you want an interactive DJ or more formal style, whether guests should be allowed to make requests, etc. They also call you the week of the event to touch base and review the timeline/itinerary and any changes to be made. We really felt like Steve did a wonderful job for us, we had a great time!

Matthew did an excellent job at our wedding. He was very organized prior to the event, and we had no problems that night.

Steve was the DJ for our (outdoor) ceremony and reception. We had a great experience with Occasions, from the initial emails with Matthew to the way Steve interacted with us on our wedding day. Matthew was always very responsive to our questions over email, and we really appreciated the in-depth questionnaire. It really helped us imagine how the whole event would go and pointed out things we wouldn't have ever considered. We had a good talk with Steve a couple of weeks before the ceremony to go over the details, and we felt like he understood what our expectations, and we didn't have any worries. We're very happy with Steve. He played all the songs we wanted and none of the songs we didn't (although somehow Unchained Melody got in there...). He touched base with us throughout the dinner and dancing to make sure we were happy and to go over the timing for the evening. Steve was dressed in a tuxedo, was very professional, and even stayed longer than originally contracted (we paid for the extra time, of course). We highly recommend Steve and Occasions.

Matthew did a great job at our wedding. We had 240 guests and the dance floor was packed the entire night. Matthew did a good job of reading the crowd and providing a good mix of music that pleased the older and younger guests. He really listened to what we wanted and played the songs that were most important to us. Perhaps more importantly, he did not play any songs on our “do not play list” even though they were requested several times by family members. He was very professional, easy to work with and helped to make our wedding day perfect!

Joanne and Joe were so wonderful. I talked to Matt to set up everything and he was very kind and easy to work with. Joanne later called me to finalize my line up of songs (which impressed me). The day of the event there were changes and this amazing couple took care of my needs like it was no problem at all. I was nervous about the timing of when I should walking down the aisle and so Joanne standed near me to give me a cue when to go. There were also problems before the wedding and Joanne and Joe helped me even though it had nothing to do with DJing. They played everything we asked for, and acted/dressed professionally. They were so sweet and kind, I would recommend them to everyone I know.

Steve was our DJ at our wedding reception, and he was great!!! We were in touch with Matt, for most of the pre-wedding planning. This communication was all e-mail based, since we planned our wedding from 350 miles away! We decided to go with Occasions *because* they were easy to communicate with via e-mail. Their website provides a *very* easy and effective planning tool, where we could identify songs we definitely did not want to hear at our reception. And, we could make it clear that we did not want a DJ who would be talking all night and not adhering to our requests and instructions. A few weeked before our wedding, Steve, who was matched up to us based on his personality and what we wanted, called me and we talked about our final details. He was courteous, and easy to talk to. On the day of, he showed up in a tuxedo!!! We were not expecting this, and it was just awesome! He looked great, and he listened to us about not being cheesy or too talkative, and he kept the music playing all night. He also helped the nights events run smoothly by being the MC. He was wonderful! We highly recommend Occasions DJs for wedding receptions, and if you can get Steve, you will be all set :)

We could not have asked for a better DJ on our special day. He exceeded all our expectations. He helped keep everything running smoothly all night long, and was very flexible with us for our reception was much different from most.

Occassions Disc Jockey is a very professional company that is easy to work with. They provide an online form that allows you to provide a schedule for your ceremony and reception, including exactly when you want certain events to take place. The form makes it very easy to indicate which songs you want played for special moments, such as the cake cutting, and the entrance. If you don't want to pick specific songs, you can also pick music styles and eras that you prefer for the reception. We used Occasions for the sound system only during the ceremony and for the music during the reception. Matt was our DJ. He was GREAT! One of our guests called him the DJ from Oz, because he kept playing great music but you never saw him. (we had asked for him to be low profile, but if you want him more involved in the party, he will do that as well.) We wish we had a chance to thank Matt in person that night, but we were having so much fun on the dance floor, which was full all evening, that we didn't get a chance to. Thanks Matt!

Matt was very professional and the price was good. He provided three different setups at no extra charge (ceremony, atrium and reception) and his equipment was nice (no wires everywhere and the sound system was behind a black curtain). There were a few hiccups like we asked him to not announce the wedding song but just start the song but he forgot and announced it and a version mix up on a song I wanted played but all in all good service.

Occassions is such a well organized company. Matthew Cleveland, the owner is really on the ball. He's quick to respond to any questions or concerns you have. We were very specific in our music choices and in how we wanted the evening to progress. Matthew delivered on everything. He took the songs we requested and gave them the perfect order and flow. He was a gracious and unassuming dj who let the music speak for him. He matched our formal evening wedding perfectly.

We used Occasions for our formal evening wedding, and we wanted a professional DJ who would keep the night fun without taking over the show. Occassions did a wonderful job ~ our DJ was professional, fun, and very polite.

Matt kept the crowd dancing from beginning to end. He wasn't overbearing, but he directed the flow of events. He listened to our concerns and played/didn't play what we asked. Greatest DJ company in the area!
