Local Motion Entertainment

After looking for a DJ and not being satisfied with anything we found, we booked local motion late in the game. I could not have been happier with this choice! They are completely professional and Alex the owner is more than happy to make your wedding reception a great time. Honestly, the only thing guests rememeber is the entertainment and they were fantastic! Not everything went perfectly (but you can't expect it to) but our DJ's were wonderful at makiing things work! All our guests really enjoyed the music selection and had a fun time! They read the crowd and changed music to get people out of their seats and dancing the night away.If they didn't have what people wanted, they immediatly figured something out so everyone was happy. WE HAD A BLAST!

DJ AV (Alex) was ridiculous. Just ask him about how he had the dance floor going. He was organized, managed our "Manhattan" style pacing (We're from Manhattan as well, so we have high demands). I can't say enough about his work. Highly suggested.

Local Motion was awesome from the start. Alex was responsive and professional, but also, didn't need to be instructed as to what we wanted either. He coordinated his services efficiently and with ease. We met to discuss the timeline of events, and he saved it into a document that the DJ at the venue followed to the letter. AJ was the DJ who spun at the wedding- he also emceed the event, too. He paid attention to detail, and reviewed with details on the spot- down to the pronunciation of the bridal party's names! As I said, he also followed the instructions that Alex had written- but was still very accommodating to suggestions that my husband and I made on the fly. He was friendly, professional, and just plain great. With regards to the quality of the spinning- he did an AWESOME job. We wanted a club-type atmosphere, and AJ really delivered- he was able to transition and mix between songs and kept the energy high throughout the entire event. We had such a great time that we kept the party going two hours longer than we had originally intended, and AJ was completely cool with it! These guys are beyond professional and I would recommend them to EVERYONE!

Local Motion did a great job at our wedding. Very professional, and very attentive to our needs and requests. They not only provided excellent music selections, but also were very helpful in dealing with our other vendors as well. I definitely recommend Local Motion to anyone getting married.

Alex and Mike made the planning process leading up to the wedding very easy and answered any questions we had along the way. We wanted a wedding that people of all ages and musical preferences could enjoy. By the end of the night, i don't think there was anyone that wasn't dancing. Mike played the perfect mix of classics and new hits, leaving everyone with a smile on their face. These guys aren't the typical Cornball wedding Djs, they are professionals. I recommend them to everyone I know.

This DJ was the best! They had several plans to fit any budget. Our DJ was dressed very professional, but fun! He played great music and knew how to play the music to keep the people on the dance floor. If he knew people weren't feeling a song, he would smoothly transition to a new song. Local Motion had a great online form to fill out and you were able to pick songs that you definitely wanted played, ones you wanted definitely NOT played, and some suggestions tha tmake it if there's time. We were able to book an extra hour at a reasonable rate. They responded to my questions by email within a day, the DJ was on time and we had a great party at our wedding! Definitely would recommend them!

Local Motion gave us everything we wanted for our reception. They were able to get every song we requested and our specific DJ, Dan, was very flexible and helped us reform our schedule after we (the bridal party) arrived a bit late. I would absolutely recommend Local Motion.

What couples will love about Local Motion Entertainment is that it will certainly be a "worry free" part of the reception. Not only do they know the mechanics of sound, but how to present themselves in a manner appropriate to a wedding reception. DJ's can make or break a reception. They must know when to draw the crowd in and when to provide "entertainment", so to speak. Couples certainly want their guests to stay and enjoy the party and too often after the meal freinds and family leave. We've all been at receptions where the music is too loud or perhaps the DJ acts inappropriatly or even plays the wrong type of music for the crowd. You won't have that problem with Local Motion. It is my experience that they are polished professionals. Let this be a part of your reception that you both can sit back and enjoy. After all, "It's the first dance of the rest of your life". Alex at Local Motion DJs was awesome. He has the right personality for this industry and really had everyone talking about how fantastic he was! He really cared and listened to what we wanted and then met those expectations and needs. The only thing he slipped up on was the ceremony music - I didn't like the version of Canon in D he used, then he played the wrong song for the communion and unity candle, and you couldn't hear the recessional music. The thing is, he was so spectacular throughout the process and throughout the evening, we really were so thankful for him and highly recommend him to everyone! He was super accommodating, flexible, and has a great personality.

Very nice to work with. Flexible and went along with whatever the bride/groom asked him to do. The dj was professional and friendly. The way he played the songs were awesome; he played the songs that were requested but only played part of the songs... so the song didn't get old/boring.

were totally friendly and helpful.. was just a litttttlleee upset as they did not play all the songs I had placed on the definite playlist. Also forgot to cut to a special song as requested, did not play the linedance songs asked to either. Also were a few mess-ups (wrong names, etc). Hate to say bad things, because they were so friendly and sweet.

We had a good time, and everyone danced--always the sign of a good DJ. They played all the music we asked them too, and avoided most of the stuff we asked them not to play. Easy to work with, and great communications.
