HOAG'S CATERING SERVICE

Hoag's Catering at Celebration Hall in State College PA should be on the list of every special event in life. First the food is outstanding, there are a tremendous amount of choices depending on the event type. Ours was a wedding- the food was outstanding, the room was beautiful, the bar area was exquisite. But to top it all off, the staff was so accommodating to our unique needs. We had a lot of children at our wedding so we had a candy buffet, craft corner, and children's dinners. We purchased everything, but the staff helped us set everything up the day before- and even used our family antiques to serve (this was very important to me as an homage to my mom who passed away.) We did our own centerpieces and had our own cake, a memory table and even a gift table- it was refreshing to be able to have what we wanted and not being forced to take what was at the discretion of the facility. They would do anything to help us out. Our event was also destination and the catering manager was very helpful to me as the out-of-town bride to keep me in the loop and on time with payments etc. This place MUST be on your list. Casey the catering manager is top notch. My thanks to him and the entire team. They know what they're doing. Oh and let me not forget that they also helped me rent a tent, chairs and a heater days before when the weather changed for my outdoor wedding.

I could not possibly be more thrilled with the food and service that Hoag's catering provided for our wedding. They took care of every detail, the food was AMAZING (we're still getting compliments on it a week later), and the people were gracious and kind above and beyond what you typically find with a catering service. To Becky and everyone at Hoag's, thank you for making our wedding so amazing.

Everything about Hoag's was great except for a few very minor things. The good: the venue is beautiful, the staff is helpful, the food is delicious, and you can have pretty much whatever you want within reason (kids' meals, vegetarian meals, special layouts, etc.). I think it took a bit long to get responses to my e-mails, but I imagine calling would've been faster--it just wasn't an option with my work schedule. We also were under the impression we'd get a carving station and we got a tray of pre-sliced meat instead. Two very, very small complaints amidst an otherwise fantastic experience. I highly recommend Hoag's!
