Hamilton Ballroom at Wheatland Place

We booked with Hamilton Ballroom 2 years before our 6/25/11 wedding. In the time between our booking and our wedding, Hamilton Events, who was exclusive to Hamilton Ballroom, became involved with event planning at Cork Factory Hotel. At that point, professionalism, responsiveness, and quality of service went out the window. We were told several things (free food tasting, ability to visit Hamilton Ballroom when needed) that turned out not to be true. I will chalk this up to the undoubtedly stressful situations of taking on a new venue. However, we were unable to taste the food we'd be serving at our wedding unless we spent $20 per person for a chef-created tasting plate at Cork and Cap Restaurant, and when my parents were in town, we were unable to show them where our wedding reception would be held. For lack of a better way to express it, my parents gifted us with the money to actually hold our reception at Hamilton in the first place.With just a few weeks to go until our wedding, I was finally to the point that I couldn't take it anymore, and my husband and I confronted Lindsey, the main contact. She was immediately apologetic and willing to work with us. She handled all of our questions and desires right away, and set up an additional meeting with us, the chef for our wedding, and the Banquet Manager to review our concerns. From that point, things were smooth and went off without a hitch. The staff allowed us to bring our decor items in the day before our wedding to set up. On the day of, we had excellent service, and were even congratulated by both the chef and Banquet Manager. The food was amazing and our guests still remark to us how beautiful the room is. We are so thankful that after so much stress and irritation our wedding turned out beautiful, as it should have been.I should note that Hamilton Ballroom is no longer owned or managed by Hamilton Events and does not have an affiliation with Cork Factory Hotel or Cork and Cap. It is now managed by Olde Greenfield Inn.

Hamilton Ballroom is a great reception site! Our wedding was during the time where their on-site catering began...but luckily we had signed our contract before that was official. I am so glad we were able to bring in our own caterer since that's where we saved the most money. I don't know what their prices are like with their new on-site food service. I'm sure they do an amazing job tho! It was nice working with Lindsey! She was very easy to work with and responded to my emails pretty efficiently. However, I was kind of disappointed that I didn't even see her at my reception. The lady that was there....(which I couldn't even tell you her name) didn't seem to do a whole lot. Every time I saw her, she was just standing there. But maybe her job was to just watch over everything. I don't know! Other than that...I was very happy with how things went! The set-up of everything was perfect! They even allowed us to bring all the things for the reception in to the ballroom the day before. Which helped us out TREMENDOUSLY!!! All in all...I was happy with Hamilton Ballroom!

I absolutely fell in love with the Hamilton ballroom, it is such an open and neutral space. Working with Lindsey was great. She was very attentive and helped me with all my questions even if that meant emailing back and forth several times a day. They were also extremely helpful with letting us drop off our decorations and such a head of time and also with setting everything up so wonderfully!

Working with the Hamilton Ballroom form my wedding was fantastic! Lindsey is so kind and patient to work with, she gave us great advice as well! Everything went so smoothly up to the day of the event and during the reception. If you want a modern feel and a ballroom that goes well with any color palette, then choose Hamilton Ballroom!

The Hamilton Ballroom was an absolutely beautiful site to begin with. My mother and I were amazed at the simplicity of the reception planning process once we talked to Lindsay, our wedding coordinator. The Hamilton staff take care of set-up for the reception site that way that you envision it! When I stepped into the ballroom for my reception, everything looked even better than I had planned! The staff also displayed the utmost professionalism in their dealings with me, my wedding party, and other vendors. I would highly recommend this reception site.

I absolutely loved the Hamilton Ballroom. The venue looks understated and "plain brick" on the outside, but so full of character and beauty on the inside. It was exactly what we wanted. It was absolutely beautiful. I planned most of the wedding from North Carolina, so there were a lot of phone conversations, but Lindsay, whom I had contact with, was very accomodating. Through email and voicemail, we had pretty much everything taken care of. I felt at ease, no apprehentions about the day. I didn't have to speak to any of our venors, not that I didnt want to, but the appointed wedding liason for the day, from Hamilton Events, took care of everything. This allowed my husband & I to mingle and visit with all of our guests. Not only was the staff at Hamilton professional, but so very personable. I am the first of my siblings to get married, so I had no template. Not only did the staff help me with information on the venue, but also other areas of planning. Its been three weeks since we've been married, and our guests are still talking about how beautiful the reception was. So thank you Hamilton Events, for everything!

I loved working with Hamilton Events. I dealt with Lindsey and she was wonderful! She was really flexible for meetings with me. She thought of every little detail and she took care of everything on the day of the wedding. I couldn't be happier with how my wedding went and how it looked. The neutral colors in the ballroom fit the my color scheme perfectly. Using the candelabras as centerpieces were great and one less thing I had to think about or pay for. I loved it!

Hamilton Ballroom was the perfect venue for both my ceremony and reception. It has such a simple yet classic and elegant decor that you can add your own personal touches to if you would like. Lindsey is a pleasure to work with, very understadable and accomodating throughout the whole process with all your needs. This was the first place I went to visit and knew on the spot that I did not need to look anywhere else because this was the perfect place for me!

Our experience with Hamilton Ballroom was a fantastic one! Lindsey was a pleasure to work with. She was patient, understanding and flexible and always available to answer any question I had in a timely manner during the year that I planned the wedding. I highly recommend this unique venue with a great art-deco feel. You won't regret it.

Wheatland Place is absolutley gorgeous, it provided the perfect setting for our fall wedding reception. The room was just the right size. Lindsey did an awesome job helping us work out all the details of the day. I would highly reccommend this venue to anyone trying to find a place for their wedding reception!

I was so happy that I chose Hamilton Ballroom for my wedding! I loved that we were able to have the ceremony right in the middle of the room on the dance floor so that nobody had to travel to the reception. Lindsey is one of the coordinators for the venue and she was absolutely fantastic to deal with. I had so many questions leading up to the wedding and she answered them all right away. She also was present the day of and helped to set up my center pieces, name cards, table numbers, etc. I have nothing bad to say...everything was great!

The ballroom was beautiful and unique compared to other ballrooms. The people we worked with were great and helped us with other vendors.

The wedding reception for our daughter and son-in-law, Nicole and Donnie Spanlger, was held at TheHamilton Ballroom. We enjoyed working with Lindsay very much. She was very pleasant to work withand very accomodating. The room itself is such a wonderful room to have an event take place. It's decorworked very well with the colors and design that Nicole wanted to use. The evening was very well organized and Hamilton Events personal made sure that eveything went well. The Hamilton Ballroom at Wheatland Place is gorgeous. It was the perfect venue for our reception party. People are still talking about it. The people we worked with there were excellent at keeping things straight and dealing with any last minute changes and requests. We couldn't be happier with our decision. Hamilton Events was very helpful. The site is very modern and price effective. The staff was very helpful and friendly. When there was a slight issue the night of the wedding they did everything possible to aid in fixing the problem. The only recommendation would be to have the site available for more set up time.

I really enjoyed working with Lindsey - she accomodated my numerous requests to visit the ballroom on different occasions and provided helpful insight for the ceremony and reception. Thanks Lindsey!
