We had cheesecake and cupcakes as our wedding cake. I didn't get a chance to taste the cupcakes (but judging by the blue, icing-covered face of our ringbearer, I'm guessing they were good) but the cheesecake was phenomenal. We got many compliments on it. While they would have delivered for a fee, the owner told me that the cake stand would be easy to set up and didn't require any special skill. She was right. My friend had no problem picking up the cheesecake and setting everything up. I also thought the prices were very reasonable, although my cake did not require any fancy decorating. I would definitely recommend Byers Butterflake Bakery!

Diahann did a beautiful job designing & creating the wedding cake of my dreams. I had the vanilla-almond cake with buttercream frosting. She copied the beadwork appliques from my gown and utilized my bridal party colors & the flowers from the bouquets to coordinate the cake with the entire look of our wedding! Impressive & delicious. Because she is so busy, it would take a few days to correspond via email, but when meeting in person she was very responsive and helpful.

Our wedding was at the Inn at Leola Village and the cake was included in our package there. Therefore, the only bakery I visited for wedding cake was Byers and I do not know the value for cost. I don't know what the cake cost, but I gave 5/5 as not to lower the rating (would not let me just not rate it). The groom and I live in Texas and were only able to come back once during our 5 month planning. They accommodated us by allowing our tasting to be on a Saturday. At our tasting we were able to chose 3 favors ahead of time to try. Our tasting was during the beginning planning stages, and they seemed slightly annoyed that I did not know exactly what I wanted design wise. I suppose I should of come with ready to go with pictures, and would recommend doing this. They have a ton of options from design, shape, to favors. The building the bakery is located in is beautiful and all the items in the bakery smelled and tasted wonderful. After the meeting, we communicated primarily through email, and everything worked out great. Diahann did a great job designing our wedding cake. Using the designs from our invitation I mailed her, she was able to create a unique cake design that complimented the wedding look. She emailed us a drawing of the cake ahead of time. I thought the cake looked very nice, Diahann is truly an artist. I really appreciated how she was able to incorporate the flower design on the cake. Unfortunately I never got a chance to taste the cake on our wedding day, but at the tasting the cake tasted great. Our favors were chocolate and strawberry shortcake. The guests said they liked it, although a few commented that they wished there were more strawberries. On the day of the cake arrived on time. Thank you to Diahann and the Byers staff for helping to make our wedding a very special day.

Byers Butterflake Bakery baked the specialty cupcakes for our wedding held at the Inn at Leola Village (near Lancaster, PA). The wedding cake was part of the Inn's package and Byers worked with the Inn to ensure that all of the logistics were handled and everything was perfect on the wedding day. We could not have been more pleased with the quality of the cupcakes...not only were they incredibly tasty, there were also beautiful and added a pop of color to the dessert table. We selected 5-6 flavors about about 140 people, and all of our guests raved about them. The cupcakes were a generous size and decorated with the perfect amount of icing and details (chocolate shavings, almond and lemon pieces, etc.). There was also a great selection of flavors, both traditional and gourmet. Diahann was great to work with and provided good ideas about how to set-up the cupcake display, etc. Being able to have cupcakes at the wedding was something that was important to me and we were very appreciative that Diahann and her team were willing to work with us to make that happen. We'll definitely be making a quick trip to Byers Butterflake Bakery to pick up some sweets the next time we are in Leola!

Byer's Butterflake was a delight to work with. They were kind and very welcoming. It was easy to figure out what I wanted with their help. The cake flavors were hard to choose from because they were all so delicious! So we chose two flavors - a couple of tiers for each. It was also incredibly convenient to our wedding venue (The Inn at Leola Village), so that made it easier for appointments. Also, our cake was included in our wedding package, amazingly! Overall, we had a wonderful experience with their bakery.

Byers Butterflake Bakery prepared the most gorgeous wedding cake for us! It was a comforting feeling to sit with the bakery and discuss in great detail the design of the wedding cake. They took their time with us and I left knowing that our wedding cake was going to be perfect! It truly was! The attention to detail on the wedding cake was just incredible and let's not forget to mention how delicious the flavors were. I highly recommend the White Rhapsody for one of your layers...YUM! Byers was extremely professional throughout the entire process. The cake was beautiful but also SO INCREADIBLY GOOD. We got so many compliments from our guests. Get the almond tort with butter cream icing, it's fantastic!

We did cupcakes for the wedding. We were able to choose 4 different flavors at no additional cost. They were a huge hit.

We did cupcakes for our daughters wedding. they were a huge success. everyone loved them. Byers made sure that the table was perfect before leaving. they didn't just go in and throw them on a table. They were fresh and moist. The decorations on the top of each cupcake was perfect. I HIGHLY recommend Byers butterflake bakery in Leola, PA. to anyone looking for a wedding cake or baked goods of any kind for any occasion. The staff is friendly, the store is clean, you don't have to worry that you won't get what you want. OH and they always have samples....

Our cake was delicious and there was a large variety to choose from! Byers set up the cake and made sure everything looked beautiful. They also made key lime cupcakes and key lime pies for my groom for the night before. Absolutely delicious!
