Recapture a time long lost… a time when grace, elegance and hospitality reigned.
Celebrate your special day with us in a beautiful setting where the past and the future merge to create meaningful memories for you and your guests.
The Cameron Estate Inn is a premier venue for elegant weddings and special events. The classic ballroom, once a carriage house where Mary Cameron housed her Packard automobile collection, has been transformed into a gracious facility that provides the perfect setting for hosting receptions of up to 250 guests. The main dining room in the mansion is also an ideal location for more intimate gatherings of 10 to 90 people.
An elegant Victorian cast-iron gazebo imported from France creates a dramatic backdrop for your ceremony. You could also choose to exchange or renew wedding vows in the Spring Garden, or make use of the charming Stone Bridge that crosses one of the three babbling streams that flow through the property.
Many groups reserve the entire inn for the weekend of their celebration to enjoy the camaraderie of friends and family while experiencing the privacy of the estate as they host their special event.
Our devoted and experienced coordinators take pleasure in personalizing life’s important moments at our unique property. We will keep you at ease and provide expert consultation and warm hospitality every step of the way.
Rich in history and tradition…
Behind ornamental iron gates that once graced the entrance to the Pennsylvania State Capital, The Cameron Estate Inn sits on a knoll in a park-like setting of natural beauty surrounded by ancient towering woods.
This country retreat, which the Camerons transformed into one of the great estates of Pennsylvania, was the summer refuge of the Cameron family until 1959. Years ago, Pennsylvania’s dignitaries and social elite gathered here for meetings, retreats, and parties.
Today, this grand home hosts guests from around the globe in its current incarnation as the Cameron Estate Inn & Restaurant. The Estate provides a world of perfect solitude with its giant shade trees of hemlock, oak, and maple, and spring gardens of irises, peonies and bleeding hearts. Expansive lawns terraced by limestone walls and granite stairs grace the landscape.
The mansion became an Inn in 1981 and the current owner’s décor reflects the elegance of fine European Boutique Hotels. The inn, filled with tasteful European antiques, exudes elegance yet achieves a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.
Today, guests enjoy award-winning cuisine, fine wines, and warm hospitality at the Cameron Estate Inn & Restaurant. Visitors are encouraged to wander through the beautifully landscaped grounds and those of the historic Donegal Presbyterian Church to unwind, and take a step back in time.
